EXPLORE COIMBATORE

With temperate climes, a dash of culture and a vibrant and, thriving textile industry, Tamil Nadu’s second-largest city offers visitors a diverse experience. It is indeed the starting point for an exploration of the hill-stations that abound in this region.

Coimbatore is well-connected to the rest of India and the world through its airport Peelamedu, about 13km from the city centre. International flights ply largely to and from Gulf countries.

Coimbatore Junction is the city’s main railway station, and a major rail hub for South India. It also offers great connectivity to other parts of the country.

Bus services, operated by the state transport corporation, connect Coimbatore to the rest of Tamil Nadu  and to neighbouring states of Kerala and Karnataka. Many reputable online travel portals sell bus tickets.

Coimbatore is well-connected to the rest of the state of Tamil Nadu and to popular destinations in Kerala, like Kochi, Trivandrum and Trichur, and Karnataka, like Bangalore and Ooty, via six major national highways.
